Java on CygwinThere's a section of the site devoted to integrating Cygwin and Java, since there don't seem to be many resources available on that topic. International Soccer RankingsWith World Cup 2006 looming, it seemed a good time to apply the rating program for college basketball (see below) to national soccer teams. However, scoring is sufficiently different (in basketball, teams score on about every other possession; in soccer, rarely) that a new, more soccer-specific rating system was developed and is now available (and far more up-to-date than the hoops version). Although it sorely needs to be updated with new data, there's a big program which generates ratings for men's NCAA basketball and publishes them. It was last run after the 2002 season.
